D+150 Pop 75K in Uphome (a term used to describe the residents of Carbon and SchuylkillCounty’s) and another 50K in ghettos outside regional borders the races get along well for the most part. The Jewish Town and Muslim town share a common border and have a common defense force other ethnic towns are the Puerto Rican town African town and a mutli ethnic Asian Ville Everyone must serve at least 2 yrs in guard after which you may join army. They both have the same training. The guard has Companies in all of the towns with more than 1K pop each company has one tank platoon and three infantry platoons each company has a total of 75 men. The equipment consists of wheeled gun carriers as tanks and metal clad trucks they all run on diesel The local industries are steel, vehicle manufacture, and weapons/demo. Coal and diesel are exported to other regions also the oldest brewery in the US still makes its beer and sends it to all points. A large part of the region is farmed heavily to feed to growing pop some refugees coming south from upstate NY and Canada who don't agree with the Kaybeckers who are pushing south from Quebec commo is widely used telegraph for long haul local radio keep the towns informed daily a weekly paper is widely read and of course the train brings Info with each trip. the region is very self sufficient in most things food med's weapons and clothes most farmers still keep an ox or four for pulling and plowing the vehicles are mostly small trucks and vans for delivery and transport the trains link the region with the 'lantic shore and up into New York state they head west as far as the Schukill River west of that is Klan terr.South they reach the Chesapeake bay. They haul food out and steel and metal scrap in. they know that a war is coming but are avoiding it as long as possible. |
